The entire concept of a disk partition can fill volumes of books. There are many types
of computers in the world and over the past forty years I have seen many. The storage
systems may all be wildly different. From the IBM DASD storage in old mainframes to
new NVME based M.2 SSD storage in a PCI slot. This is not the time to discuss any of
them! Just select "Guided - use entire disk" and be happy.
