This is a Linux operating system which is said to be UNIX-like. There is a user called "root"
that you should never mess with unless you know what you are doing. The "root" user has a
level of authority commonly called "superuser". The "root" user can do anything. With full
permissions. If you do not know what you are doing you can destroy a system in a flash. Just
pick a nice password for that user and be sure to write it down. You will need it.
